| In October 2007, three three Subject Centres (English; History, Classics and Archaeology and Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies) ran a workshop entitled Here be dragons? Humanities, Enterprise and Higher Education. The workshop presented research on how humanities graduates can gain from learning and experiencing enterprise and entrepreneurship, as well as discusing ways in which students and institutions can integrate such experiences into the curriculum. The relevance of enterprising skills for all graduates, not simply those setting up on their own, was also addressed. The presentations from the workshop are now available online, as is the research by Karina Croucher, John Canning and Jane Gawthrope, with Rebecca Allan, Sarah Croucher and Catherine Ross, also published as Here be Dragons? Enterprising Graduates in the Humanities. |
